The Smokies are calling, it's time to treat the most important woman in your life to a day in Tennessee's most beloved mountain town.

Whether your mom loves adventure, relaxation, good food, or a little bit of magic, Pigeon Forge has something to make her feel truly special this Mother's Day. Here are our top picks for a perfect celebration.

1. Impossibilities — Magic, Mindreading & Mayhem

Give Mom an evening she cannot explain, Impossibilities with me! The Master Mentalist Erik Dobell. 90 minutes of interactive comedy magic and mind-reading performed live at the Impossibilities Theater at 1548 Parkway in Pigeon Forge.

Does your mom like Taylor Swift? I was once described as "almost as good as Taylor Swift." And my show is cheaper.

2. Morning Hike in Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Start Mother's Day with fresh mountain air and breathtaking scenery. Laurel Falls Trail is a favorite for its paved path and waterfall finale. Alum Cave Trail offers more dramatic elevation and views. Maybe let mom decide which trail to do.

Outdoors · Free · All Skill Levels

3. Spa Day

Several resorts and spas in and around Pigeon Forge offer Mother's Day packages including massages, facials, and body treatments. Let her fully unwind while the mountains keep watch. Call ahead to book a Mother's Day special!

4. Brunch at The Old Mill

A Pigeon Forge institution, The Old Mill sits along the Little Pigeon River and serves up hearty Southern cooking in a charming, historic setting. Their grits, country ham, and homemade jams are legendary. A leisurely Mother's Day brunch here feels as warm as the biscuits coming out of the kitchen.

Southern Dining · Historic · Lunch

5. Dollywood Theme Park

Is there a more fitting Mother's Day destination than a park built by everyone's pretend mom, Dolly Parton? Roller coasters, live music, craft demonstrations, and really good food. Spring is also a gorgeous time to visit.

Theme Park · Full Day · Live Entertainment

6. Shopping at The Island

The Island in Pigeon Forge is a lively outdoor shopping and entertainment district featuring boutiques, gift shops, restaurants, and a giant observation wheel. Stroll with Mom, grab a funnel cake, ride the wheel for panoramic mountain views, and let her pick out something she'd never buy with her own money.

Shopping · Entertainment · Views

7. Titanic Museum Attraction

One of Pigeon Forge's most iconic landmarks, the Titanic Museum lets visitors step aboard a full-scale replica section of the ship's hull. Guests receive a boarding pass with a real passenger's name and discover their fate at the journey's end. It's a little…weird but still lots of fun. Especially for history nuts.

Museum · History · Interactive

8. White Water Rafting on the Pigeon River

For the adventurous mom, a guided rafting trip on the Pigeon River offers Class III and IV rapids just a short drive from downtown Pigeon Forge. Several outfitters operate out of the area and provide all the gear.

Adventure · Guided · Ages 8+

9. Sunset Dinner with a Mountain View

Cap the day with a special dinner at a restaurant with stunning Smoky Mountain views. Cliff Top at Anakeesta offers a gorgeous setting, and many restaurants offer Mother's Day specialty menus. Make a reservation early because you won't be the only one with this idea.

Fine Dining · Sunset · Romantic

10. Anakeesta Treetop Village

Perched atop a mountain above downtown Gatlinburg (a quick drive from Pigeon Forge), Anakeesta features a stunning treetop walk, mountain views, gem mining, and charming village shops. The aerial gondola ride alone is worth the trip. Gorgeous in spring when the rhododendrons are blooming.

Nature · Views · Family Friendly

Things to Do in Pigeon Forge at Night

3/20/2026

The sun may have set, but that doesn't mean you have to go back to your cabin.

Pigeon Forge has live entertainment, moonshine tastings, mini golf courses and a whole heck of a lot more. Here's is out guide to Pigeon Forge...AFTER DARK.

DUN DUN DUUUUUUN!

Experience the Impossible at Impossibilities

Master Mentalist and Magician Erik Dobell in Impossibilities in Pigeon Forge Tennessee
No trip to the Smokies is complete without seeing Impossibilities, interactive comedy magic and mind-reading with the Master Mentalist Erik Dobell.

It's not just a great show for families, it's also good for bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthday parties, or whatever really. With a start time of 7:30pm, you'll have time after the show to check out some of the other activities on this list.

This is our blog, so there is no reason to believe what we have to say about Impossibilities. So click HERE to see our TripAdvisor review.

Other shows to see in Pigeon Forge at night

Pigeon Forge is known for its live entertainment, it's kind of our thing. And there is no shortage of shows to make Pigeon Forge nightlife so special. Here are some of our favorites.
  • The Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show – red verses blue with hillbillies.
  • Dolly Parton's Stampede – red verses blue but with horses and stuff.
  • Comedy Barn Theater – everyone gets along at this one. No versing.
  • Country Tonight – classic and contemporary country hits. I don't know how well they do or do not get along.

Explore The Island in Pigeon Forge

Picture
If you think the Island looks amazing during the day, you should see it at night!

When the sun goes down the Island comes to life with lights, live music, street performers, and their famous dancing water fountain thingy. And most of these things are free!

You can also ride their ferris wheel for nighttime views of the Smokies, go eat a nice meal, or just do a little shopping. There is always something to do at the Island.

Go Moonshine Tasting

Pigeon Forge and the surrounding area are home to several world-famous moonshine distilleries that offer tastings well into the evening. A few must-visit spots include:

  • Ole Smoky Moonshine at The Holler – Live music and over 40 flavors to taste.
  • Sugarlands Distilling Company – Award-winning.
  • Ole Smoky at The Island – Convenient if you're already spending the evening at The Island.

Most, if not all of the distilleries have a small fee to do the tasting but that fee does go towards whatever you decide to buy after the fact.

Play a Round of Mini Golf

If you're series about your miniature golf, Pigeon Forge is home to some serious miniature golf courses. Blacklights, waterfalls, neon colors, and elaborately themed holes make for very unique gameplay. Some of my favorites are:

  • Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf – Two challenging 18-hole courses with waterfalls and caves.
  • Crave Golf Club – Candy themed mini-golf.
  • Old McDonald's Mini-Golf - Mini-golf that's...you know...farm themed.

Good luck and happy putting!

Grab a Bite at a Late-Night Restaurant

After all that magic, drinking, and golfing, you will probably be a little hungry.

Pigeon Forge has a bunch of restaurants that stay open late, at least during certain parts of the year. Near Impossibilities we have Fort Worth,  Joe's Crab Shack, and Roma Table Italian Kitchen.

If you want to go a little cheaper, we also have a Panda Express, and pretty soon we're going to have a Wattaburger!

Dolly Parton's Stampede

It wouldn't be Pigeon Forge without Dolly.

Dolly Parton's Stampede takes place in a 35,000-square-foot arena, with a bunch of REAL horses and a full cast of performers. Also there's food.

The 2026 season features the new Butterfly Dreams segment, and who doesn't love butterflies? Monsters. That's who.

This is a show that is unabashedly over-the-top, and that's the point. It's a little bit crazy. Arrive early and take advantage of the pre-show entertainment. Vegetarian and gluten-free meal options are available upon request.

Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud

Picture
The legendary mountain feud comes to life in this raucous, audience-participation-heavy dinner show.

You're assigned a side, Hatfields or McCoys, and spend the evening cheering your side through a series of competitions, skits, and musical numbers while enjoying some good old southern cooking.

Paula Deen's Lumberjack Feud Supper Show

This is one of the most impressive shows in town as the lumberjacks compete in axe-throwing, log-rolling, and speed-climbing competitions. And they're real life timber sport athletes! They ain't cosplaying.

Also there's food.

Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show

Picture
Blackbeard commands the seas inside a full-scale indoor lagoon at Pirates Voyage, where two rival crews, the Crimson and the Sapphire (red and blue. It's always red and blue), battle it out in a production featuring aerial acrobatics, swimming, high dives, and more.

It's a Dolly Parton production and they don't mess around when it comes to production. It's great for kids and...there's food!

The Comedy Barn Theater

Picture
Thirty years in and still the most attended clean comedy theater in the world,

The Comedy Barn's rotating cast of comedians, jugglers, ventriloquists, and variety performers delivers a high-energy, family-friendly evening that rarely has a dull moment. New acts and new material keep the show fresh even for Pigeon Forge regulars.

The Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Show

Picture
More than twelve years on the Pigeon Forge entertainment scene, this interactive whodunit puts you in the middle of the mystery.

You are part of the cast and the story unfolds around your dinner, and the sharp script keeps you guessing to the end.

It's a unique format compared to the arena-scale dinner shows on the Parkway, and the intimate setting works in its favor.

The weather in the Smokies is very...weird. Just this week, we had a series of nice, warm days and then one morning we had hail. After the hail stopped, it went back to being nice and warm.

Like I said. Weird.

But if you're visiting and happen to get stuck in some nasty weather, no worries. There are plenty of fun indoor activities for you and you family to enjoy!

Prison Break

prison break escape room at the island down the road from impossibilities best magic show in pigeon forge
Speaking of crime.

You didn’t commit the crime, but unfortunately, you’re paying the time at Iron Gate, an iron-barred, 1950s-era prison.

This joint is run by a nefarious warden who enjoys playing twisted chess games with the inmate pawns (which is you. You're the pawn). Today, he’s dangling a chance at freedom in your face. One hour to break free. You must decipher clues, navigate secret passages, and outwit the warden at his own game to finally get outta here!
